It is a matter of days and we will say goodbye to 2017.
A whole new year is arriving to be lived and, as it should be, we will renew our hope in a better year, a year of health, in the presence of our loved ones and with the joy of maybe make some of our projects come true.
Yes, yes, I mean make a project or a dream come true, not just dreaming of doing something. I mean working, planning, devoting energy and resources to get something we really want.
Here there is the fundamental difference between dreaming of achieving something and achieving something we dream of: dedication.
There is no way to win except by dedicating time and energy to something we want.
It’s not about luck: it’s about wanting a lot something and putting in place various strategies and actions to get it.
What do you want for 2018? Change your job, enroll in the college, explore an exotic destination?
Decide what you want and put yourself in action!
Be sitting there in the comfort zone doesn’t lead to anywhere. Observing the years that come and go and continue to complain about a situation that is not for us, without even trying to change things, doesn’t lead to any result.
Wish someone something like “may all your dreams come true” means that we are wishing the person to have the courage to fight against the world, against their own fears, to push their life beyond the limits, and only in this way savor peace in the heart, the happiness of duty accomplished.
So it’s not a task for everyone because it’s not easy at all.
But what about if we start trying? How many times have we postponed dreams from year to year, waiting for something overwhelming to happen in order to materialize them before our eyes?
Start trying with something small.
Do you want to go to the Maldives but the only idea of a weekend away from the children and the problems of everyday life is already frightening you?
“Even the longest journey begins with the first step,” says an oriental proverb.
So let’s not hide behind a thousand of excuses to justify our non-actions. Let’s take the responsibility for our future and our lives and begin to impose changes that will lead us to a higher level of inner peace and happiness, without wasting time.
A drawing course? More time with the family? Learn how to cook? Do a tour in Patagonia? These are possible things, if we just commit ourselves.
What are you going to try for next year?
Happy holidays and an amazing 2018 to all of us!
